Museum of Islamic Art Magnet - Azulejos tiles

A magnet inspired by Azulejos (tiles), a Museum of Islamic Art collection. These tiles are part of a group of tiles (azulejos) made following a variation of the technique inspired by cuerda seca that imitates the technique of mosaic tiling and was mainly used for wall compositions. Examples such as these would have decorated buildings commissioned by Christian rulers in post-Islamic Spain. The artefact originated from Spain, Toledo or Seville in Kingdom of Castile and Léon period, late 9th-early 10th century AH (15th-16th century CE). Dimension: 60 mm x 60 mm Material: Acrylic
