Saemi Kim is a South Korea-born contemporary artist and designer based in Doha whose delicate watercolour, ink, and pencil illustrations capture the beauty of urban and natural landscapes, with a particular focus on Doha’s architectural and ecological landmarks. Her notable work includes Doha Map, a detailed hand-drawn illustration reproduced as a giclée print featuring Qatar's distinguishing sights. She states that she creates “from the heart and the soul,” seeking to “explore the beauty of the natural world” through watercolour, a medium she views as inherently collaborative with nature itself.
