Fares Raphael Cachoux
Â
Fares Cachoux (b. 1976) is a digital artist and activist whose striking visual language addresses complex social, political, and environmental issues. A former computer engineer trained in digital art and visual communication in Paris, he held his first solo exhibition in 2015 after being invited by Banksy to participate in Dismaland. His work, composed of potent imagery in vivid colours and simple silhouettes, has been featured in publications such as Le Monde, Le Temps, Courrier International, and Huffington Post, and is included in art education curricula in France, where it serves as an entry point for understanding political posters.
Over nearly a decade, Cachoux worked in museum digital departments across the Gulf, including Doha, before dedicating himself full-time to art and relocating to Paris in 2021. His most recent major exhibition, Figures Contemporaines, premiered in 2024 at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Tourcoing, France.
